People Who Make It Happen

Dr. A. Toor (DVM)

Born and brought up as farm boy in a rural family that owned and loved animals from their heart, Dr. Toor developed passion for working with animals while in kindergarten when he used to help his grandfather during calving season. He graduated from Vet School in Sept 2001 and spent an extra 2 years after that for completing a Masters in Surgery following which he practised Surgery and Radiology at the Teaching hospital.

His career as a Vet started In St Johns, Newfoundland where he started as an associate at a multi veterinarian practice and remained part of their team for 6 years and enjoyed practising surgery and medicine. Absence of Emergency Clinics in Newfoundland gave him a lot of opportunity to practice Emergency Medicine as well.

In 2011 Dr Toor moved to Edmonton while working at Morinville Veterinary Clinic for about a year. He teamed up with his old buddy Dr Channa in 2012 and started their own practice “Edmonton Spay and Neuter Clinic”. These day he enjoys working at Spay neuter clinic and Sunrise Animal Hospital. His area of interest is Surgery and Diagnostic imaging.

Your Pet'Companion's Well Being Is A Primary Focus For Us...

Our veterinarians recognize that even “routine” procedures such as spaying or neutering can cause both pets and their owners anxiety. We do our best to help pets relax, and carefully monitor their vital signs during their surgery and hospital stay.

Prior to administering anesthesia, our veterinarian conducts a physical examination in your presence to ensure there are no potential health complications. If needed they might recommend a pre-surgical blood test to ensure the health of organ systems functions .Following the surgery, we keep your pet for a short time to monitor his recovery. Once we are confident that your pet is ready to return home, we will contact you. We send every pet home with a full list of at-home care instructions. We are also available at any time to answer questions about a surgical procedure or the care that follows.

Our veterinarians, Dr. Toor and Dr Channa recognize that your pets are an important part of your family. We are proud to provide pet care for your companion animals. Our team is available to answer questions or concerns you may have about your pet’s care. Whether you need assistance meeting your pet’s special dietary requirements or have concerns about vaccine protocols, we are here to help.
